QUESTION ABOUT PI-OSC ON DIFFERENT MARKET PRICE ACTION

Hi Roger,
I wanted to ask if the PI indi can be equally effective on trending prices as well as rotational (ranging) price action? Do you suggest any additional filters? Thanks in advance for your reply.

That depends on the nature of the trend. If it is a clean smooth trend without corrections then it will not be very effective and a trend following model will be more suitable.
If the trend is violent and choppy with large corrections then Pi-Osc will be more adept at finding the turning points.
Yes, filtering the long term trend and trading in the direction of that long term trend is usually a wise idea.
