PRECISION PROBABILITY INDEX SET UP
<
Roger,
I have found your site through NT.
I am really fascinated by this software ( PPI ) because I want to be able to accurately trade the 50 crossover in futures and currencies.
I’m not looking for exact tops and bottoms (maybe I am if that could really be true) but catching the trend and using a trailing stop.
From my experiences with other indicators and knowing myself I will struggle with the set up.
It looks like the indicators can and will work properly IF they are set up correctly according to what is being traded
And time frame. Do you provide a manual or pdf to explain how to set up and the function of each parameter
Related to different markets – different settings for futures and different setting for currencies.
I remember reading about forex volume for the Pi indicator and not sure how that affects the PPI.
Thanks for your time

It is not clear from your message if you struggle because of inexperience in trading or because you aren't good with computers, but generally both facets need to be in order to make it in trading.
I have a page with generic principles of how to set up a trading system for best use here
http://www.precisiontradingsystems.com/How_to_test_trading_system.htm
If you need to brush up your skills of trading I have the exact tool for that,
Sign up and log in, run through some sessions and follow the suggestions given in the trade report after each session.

After observing your performance there I will have a better idea of your experience and abilities.
PPI does not use volume, so it works fine on any market.
Regarding the term "set up correctly" that is a very simplistic manner of describing it as "correct" is based on so many things including the personality of each trader and the ability of his stomach to withstand drawdowns.
The settings to choose can normally be found with intelligence by studying the bellcurve of the results in the simulations but there is not usually and exact value termed as best.
To give an analogy it would like designing a car engine for use to please most drivers, so there would be points to consider. EG if we increase the size of the exhaust valves we can get greater maximum revs and higher top speed but the trade off would be the engine may lose mid range power making it harder to drive for a trip to the shops, so they may decide on a compromise for the size of the value so a modest driver can still use it.
